Aluminum tension leveling line uncoiler. In the tension leveling process, the strip is leveled by locally bringing the material beyond the yield point using a combination of a tension generated by bridle rolls and a tension obtained by alternately bending the strip over small diameter rolls. This action causes permanent elongation of the longitudinal fibers, which makes their length evenly distributed across the width, thereby eliminating those internal stresses which originate flatness defects.
The tension leveling line can effectively eliminate the residual stress and fissure possibly generated in the cold or hot rolling line, as a preparation for downstream process.

Tension leveling is the process of pulling the strip beyond its yield point to permanently change the shape of the strip and make it flat. The material is run through an entry and exit set of bridle rolls, with the corrective leveler located between them.
Tension leveling equipment can be used either as independent, single-purpose lines or as integrated parts of other processing lines. The most common fields of application include galvanizing, coil coating, annealing, pickling, coil build-up, inspection, and cut-to-length lines for the treatment of low-carbon steel, stainless steel, and non-ferrous metal strip.
INTRODUCTION OF TENSION REEL PAY-OFF REEL
The pay-off reel and tension reel used for line production for steel, and other non-ferrous metals( aluminum, and copper alloy mostly), such as hot hot rolling mill, cold rolling mill, continuous pickling line, continuous galvanizing line, annealing line, slitting line, cut to length line,color coating line, etc.
The pay-off reel(uncoiler) is located at the entry of the production line and holds the coil on the mandrel. When the mandrel expands and rotates, the pay-off reel tightens the coil and unwinds the strip to the next equipment. During the line operation it feeds the strip continuously while applying back tension.
The tension reel(coiler, recoiler) is located at the delivery of the production line and winds the strip/plate to form coils. The collapsible mandrel of the tension reel winds the coil tightly while supplying the required tension during line operation. The force needed to do this is much higher than with a pay-off reel.
